ABSTRACT Together with rapid growth in population, industrialization and urbanization, environmental problems are also growing. Increasing human pressure on environment and resultant ecological destructions then come to the front as significant problems. At the end, it hasn’t taken much time for humans to notice that they were damaging themselves while harming the nature they live integrated with.

Mankind is in need of interactions with the nature as much as their interactions with their own kinds. Keeping a pet, growing flowers, spending time with the soil all make mankind happy and relaxed. The concept ''Eco-psychology'' indicates the impacts of environment on human psychology. In this concept, psychology and ecology are compounded together and it is supported that the individuals isolating themselves from the nature are emotionally unhappy and damaged themselvesin deed. In eco-psychology approach, there is a “synergic” interaction between the wellness of world and the wellness of the individual. Therefore, the needs of the world are envisaged as the needs of mankind.

In this study, the concept of eco-psychology indicating that ecological problems were human-originated problems and negative reflections of such problems influenced again humans was assessed.
