Abstract

Many communication protocols are being used and standardized for the Internet of Things (IOT) infrastructure. At the forefront of the features expected from the protocols used is the efficient operation of a limited bandwidth and low bandwidth electronic devices without creating a load complexity. Objects such as the Internet, Industry 4.0, are required to communicate between wired and wireless devices, measuring, evaluating and deciding objects for developing technologies. An IoT communication protocol that can meet these expected requirements is MQTT (Message Quenching Telemetry Transport). It uses TCP / IP infrastructure. It has lightweight and flexible features. It communicates based on the principle of publishing / subscribing. At MQTT, messages are transmitted along with a topic. Clients who want to reach the message need to subscribe to the published topic. Subject can be named depending on the type of message to be conveyed. In addition, when the subjects are named, they can be divided into hierarchical classes by the feature of MQTT protocol. Depending on the hierarchical classification, subscribers who subscribe to the message may subscribe to one or more topics. In this study, topic-based communication is examined by using MQTT / publish / subscribe method. Data sharing and subscription method has been applied for one or more MQTT topics. The CC3200 wifi microcontroller and ESP8266 were broadcast with hierarchical classification in different subjects. "Paho" is used as an MQTT client to access messages published at different levels. The topics in the different hierarchies have been examined using the principle of subscribing to and publishing more than one subject at the same time.
