Social appearance anxiety is the result of negative body image related to the bodies of individuals in general. The aim of this study is to investigate the social appearance anxiety of students studying in sports management department according to some variables. The study group consisted of 274 (113 female and 158 male) students from the Department of Sports Management of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of Hitit University. Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for data analysis. As data collection tools; “Personal Information Form” and “Social Appearance Anxiety Scale” were used. When the research data were evaluated, no significant difference was found in social appearance anxiety according to gender, age, education, high school graduated, bachelor's degree in sports, sports year, whether to do recreational sports, economic status, educational status of mother and father and working status. At the grade level, it was concluded that the social appearance anxiety of Grade 1 students was significantly higher than Grade 4 students. As a result, it was seen that social appearance anxiety of students did not show significant difference according to some variables and social anxiety levels of students were not high.
